I have tried to find someone through the "club" forums, but no luck. I'm going to try here, and I hope all will be patient with my inexperience.

Rupert Marvolo came home in July, 09. He's an 09 chili red JCW Clubman, and I am having a love affair with this car. He is without doubt the best machine I've ever driven... and I learned to drive a stick on a Lotus!

Anyway... as Rupert waits out the winter sitting safe in the garage, I am desperate to learn all I can about this car.

There is so much info on this site that I am befuddled and overwhelmed. I am hoping to actually meet someone from the Midwest, perhaps even SW Wisconsin or NE Iowa or Twin Cities area who would consider mentoring me somewhat.

That is, someone who could offer sound advice on accessories (the brake dust protector, the headlight shields, etc.) and tires and driving tips, all that stuff - and more! I am seeking someone familiar with the challenges and rewards of driving a Mini in this area...

Is there anyone out there who would be willing to help a new person become a true Mini caretaker?
