Motorola Droid and Kuda
Just a heads up: I just picked up a new Motorola Droid, and I bought the car mount bracket/suction cup mount for it, which automatically puts it in GPS mode. Great news: the Droid car bracket not only clips right on to the Kuda Garmin Nuvi mount ****, it also has a tightener dial to lock it into place (so it doesn't have to be re-positioned when you clip the Droid in).

I too bought the car mount from VZW. Do you have a photo of how you used the Kuda? On the Kuda website, it appears they suggest mounting to the right of the center console cubby. Where did you mount yours? I'm trying to decide how/where to install it. I even thought about left of steering wheel but I don't know how to run power wire all the way over there.
Thanks.
New Droid mount from Craven
We have a new mount for the VZ Droid. I do not have picture of it yet, but it will be located and look almost exactly like this BlackBerry mount.
The photo is a link to more information if you want some.

I have a quick question and I am hoping someone will have a response. I love my coopah and I love my Droid, but they are having an incompatability issue. I can see the google turn by turn directions, but the vocals do not play through the stereo. The phone is paired and I can call throught he stereo, but cannot hear the directions. This also was the case with my older phone, the env2, but I am really hoping someone can help.
I read this thread after looking for a way to mount my Droid other than the windshield. I had it there but, I am about to drop $300 on tint and do not want to risk pulling the tint from the glass. After looking at Craven and reading here I felt like $56 for the Kuba was about right. Then I got the suprise that I had to add $29 for a ball mount and $10 shipping. I remember someone saying they didn't want to stick anything to the dash but, for $100 I am willing to risk it. Found the disk with the sticky adhesive in my Droid auto mount kit and placed it on the dash next to the speedo pod. Result is a rock solid mount that puts the Droid in the exact same postion as the other mounts mentioned here for 0$.........Perfect!

I just use the suction cup mount that came with the VZW kit, and I stick it to the right side of the center speedo on my R53. It covers the 100 mpg region, but if I'm driving that fast, I'm not looking at the speedo anyway.
Either way works but, I use my nav function and like it closer to my line of site. With my Motorola T505 Blue Tooth on the visor and this I have a pretty well integrated and complete system since my car did not come with any of it.

Well, this didn't work as the sticky didn't stick to the pebble grain on the dash and kept coming loose. I ordered the Nuvi mount for $55 from Craven Speed and found the ball fits perfectly in the auto mount for the Droid. Problem solved!
I'll revise my first answer... I bought the gominigo mount that uses the hold-down bolts for the tach. Ended up wishing I had gotten the craven speed mount since the gominigo puts the phone behind the steering wheel. Ended up adding a piece of flatbar to the mount to put the phone closer to where the craven mount goes. Nice compromise so far.
