Well, it's that time again! The 3rd annual Helenblitz will be held 26-28 February 2010 and is being hosted by M2C2 (MINI Motoring Club of the Carolinas) who founded the event in 2008. The host hotel this time will be the Helendorf Inn (1-800-445-2271); call to make your reservations before it gets filled up! I believe the regular rooms are $54/night and the riverfront rooms are $70/night. JJo and I will be headed up there Friday afternoon and we will be introducing the MINIPooper to everyone at the mixer.

If you were there last year, you know that the weather didn't cooperate, but we had fun just the same. Despite the bad weather, we had 60 MINIs turn out. Hopefully all will be good this year and the event will draw more.

 

Gotta put this on the calendar! Looks like Hella-fun!

Lawman this event was so good last year I can't wait for this years - what have you got planed so far ? I will pass the information on to our other members and see if we can get a group together.

 

Hi Steggar! M2C2 is the host club this year, although I am helping out with logo design and such. I would address those folks, either jabell2r, BLUCOOPR, or lilruffcat. They are the main ones heading it up.

jjo and I will be leaving for Helen the afternoon of 26 February around 1:00 PM. We're taking both MINIs so if you want to caravan with us let us know and we can arrange a staging area and head out.

Well, it may be around 2 before Shaun & I can leave. I won't get home from class until about 12:30 then we'll have to get the little guy ready to go. Nonetheless, plan on early afternoon for us to leave.

 

Barbie and I are heading up Friday. Most likely after work. Can't wait to see you guys in Helen.

They have the RC Races on the agenda for 2:30 PM on the 27th at Helenblitz. Have you been working with your contacts in ATL and the area RC clubs?

The communication hasn't been the best this year in getting things coordinated for Helenblitz, think there is enough time to get things organized?

Shaun, I have spoken with Brian about the R/C event - we don't know what is planned or the space available. I will be bringing a few cars and Brian will have at least 1, hopefully we will see more this year. I am arriving on Friday and I will see what needs to be done. Look forward to seeing all of you again. Jim

 

We are bringing one or two RC cars.. you guys can use them for extras.. because I know i will be too spastic to settle down to play with them!! And no screamin!! Remember this is Helenblitz.. its all about mini love baby!!!! Not sure of the space.. but I know where we washed the cars the first year there is alot of room.. if its not enough.. let me know.. and Ill see if we can use the parking lot to the restaraunt across the street... its closed now... so I cannot see why not.. 803-466-1166 is my cell phone.. and ring my chimes if there is anything I can do to help facilitate this!
