I can't take it anymore !!!!!!! I want it NOW !!

It landed in NY on the 27th and my EDD went from 11/120 to 11/8 to 11/4. I'm totally driving my wife nuts with my obsession,,now I'm bummed I chose to go golfing this weekend instead of cleaning out the garage (but I did golf with someone who will paint the inside of my garage !!) WIfe's kind of concerned about trading the Mini Van for a Mini, she's somewhat attached to the van for some reason, but she will drive the Suburban now

Of course it's snowing now and I haven't ordered my snow tires yet (first I have to decide if I'm going to fork over for the 17" snow tires or locate a 15" or 16" Take off to buy and shoe those.)

Particulars,
Dark Silver on Dark Silver
Premium
Sport w/17" S lites Why did I chose perf over all season for a Nov delivery in Minnesota? Oh yea, I knew I was going to shoe them with winter tires. watch me I'll spin out driving home now
Cold

upgrades to come shortly,
Short shift,
Tint,
Intake,
Pulley,
ECU
JL Stealth sub

and perhaps since I live in MN, the requisite trailer hitch

obsession in full swing !!!!

L8r, happy motoring,

Dude!

Come on over to the Can't Wait for November Thread and get some counselling! Lots of people, including myself, are right there with you. My MINI's sitting on a ship in Baltimore right now, I think.

Come join the I can't wait 4 November club and you'll find you are not alone!
and your wife will learn this is normal!

The wait is terrible. There's fast parts and very slow parts to the process!

My MCS got to my dealer last Tuesday. On Wed he was sent to the Body Shop for the Aero Kit. He got back to the dealer today! I get to pick him up tomorrow afternoon, but only if they finish the Union Jack decal and tint the windows!

This one day seems to be lasting forever!

It gets worse, the Mini USA EDD is mocking me!!!

I called the dealer, they say my MCS is STILL awaiting a carrier to get from NJ to here, it may take a couple of weeks. looks like the original edd of 11/20 will be the most accurate after all.
I'm sure I'll drive by the dealer every once in a while to see if it's there "as I'm on my way to my client",,it's only 10 min out of the way. The dealer ship is in a mall (the FIRST indoor mall in the country) (although the associated BMW dealership is 5 min away down the street) and the trucks off load the minis into a corner of the mall parking lot for all to see. So again, they mock you all lined up waiting to get taken care of and sent to good homes.

Maybe now I have enough time to pick the 16" 5 spoke wheels to use for my winter tires. And clean out the garage, anybody want a dinning room set?

See you in the Nov thread.

l8r,

obsession in full effect!!

Thechandler81:
It doesn't look DS/DS

Did you do your mods in stages? specifically what sort of impact do you feel the Madness Intake gave you?

Hang in there, fourkeelers  . I was once in your shoes. Was like a kid on December 24!! Yup, hang in there. Later on down the road (when your DS/DS is firmly in your garage), you'll login to NAM & see a brand new thread from a waiting, dying soul ...just as we were once waiting, dying souls. Then, you'll give the response that I'm giving right now. My friend: As The World Turns ...

"I feel your pain" as a former president once said. Yes, lots of us have been there but you are getting teased more than many with those dates. Keep in mind that the MINI.USA info will be very inaccurate. They had mine as still waiting for shipping prior to it unloading. I am surprised, though, that you MA can't get you a definite ETA.

It is close. Hang in up there in the Nice Northlands.

Waiting SUCKS, that's for sure, lol

fourkeelers,
Sorry to hear about all the delays. It will be worth the wait. Come and visit us here and read about MINIs to pass the time.

If all else fails, just camp out (pitch a tent on the lawn) at the dealership and sit in a showroom MINI until yours arrives. The radio will work without the key and all you need is some CDs to get started. Bring some drinks and lock yourself in. If they ask- you are doing a test review for NAM on the stock vs Harmon Kardon audio option.

Trust me; it's worth the wait. I waited 5 months for mine and I became obsessive with Mini websites, tracking on MINIUSA.COM, and calling 1866askmini. The closer it gets to delivery, the worse it gets!!!

thanks all, I knew you'd understand

Minihune - I've read just about every post,,ok maybe 75%, but still.

About the only thing I'm not doing but should is ordering my mods like the short Shift, CAI, pulley, etc. Given winter is about here, I'm going to wait until it thaws in April/May before I mod it out.

Xanthus - would have been my wife if she looked here. (she doesn't)

inioway - my EDD has changed from 5 times already.

The issue at hand is getting the transporter from NJ to MSP, not sure what the deal is, but it does give me a chance for my knee to heal up.

I did just spend a couple benjamins at Griots tonight though. Although I do have a couple of questions for the detailing section.

I got really sick the week my MCS arrived and kept me from running around the house like a 5 year old. Then I got engaged in the MCS. First it was waiting for the ring to be made, then it was waiting for the MCS. "I thought this would never happen" ~The future wife of fishey72

Snow Country:
Suggestion for snows coming from Traverse City, MI, where we get some of the heaviest snow falls in the entire US. With snow tires I would recommend a step down in size to the 16" variety. Being a little narrower they slice through the snow better (pizza slicer effect). Of the several snow tires I have owned (on different cars), I have noticed little difference and now buy the cheaper ones available. Dunlops or Snow Kings or similar.

Patience...once you get it you have the 1250 mile break-in period before you should really drive it hard....

Stay warm! Cheers!
