Possible HPR Track day. Nov. 14

Coming up first winter track day at HPR, east of Byers, Colorado.

If the weather holds I'm planning on a potential day of lapping for me and my MINI.

Winter rules are the same equipment needed for lapping, helmet, YR 2000 or better recommended, suggested long cotton pants and long sleeve cotton shirt.

Winter hours on Saturday 10-4:30 (track hot) cost $100. no half day price.

Track opens at 9, with a meeting at 9:30 or 9:45. See link below.

They will cancel the lapping day if they do not get 10 participants.

I will not sign up on the HPR site until at least Tuesday, watching the weather. If it is in the 50s and partly sunny, I plan on going over for laps.

See this link for details on lapping HPR Winter lapping.

Anyone have the time or interested? Would love to lap with some other MINIs.

I think Umberto is going to bring out the JCW with RE11s, if everything works out. I think he might even drive it out, versus trailer it out.

I know this overlaps with CTG and I am torn both ways. And CTG is free.

Don

Looking grim for Saturday. Current weather is forcasted as rain/snow mix and the 40s.

Not ideal lapping weather, will hold back til I see Tuesday and Wednesday mornings report.

Damn weather, why not another Saturday like last Saturday.

You know instead of racing, you all should come to a parking lot and hang out with car folks!

Hehe..

I was at HPR this last saturday for my first time. What an amazing track

It is a great track, did you go as a student with Mike P. as your instructor?

I do hope you will cover the day in the mag.

Perhaps I will have to motor up and get the MINI wet at the CTG.

Well with Fri/Sat/Sun going to be in the 40s and chance of snow. Carp!

Not signing up for a cold lapping day, I guess it's next Spring unless the end of November weekend looks good before Thanksgiving.

I think it is Sunday lapping day for cars on the calendar. Hummmm.

Don, no. Richard and myself were trackside shooting images all day.
However we did get to sit in on the classroom session; we both take alot in about the correct driving line.
