MINI5280 will host this event at the Winter Park Resort near Winter Park, CO.
Dates for the event are Thursday August 12th - Sunday August 15th, 2010.
More details will be forthcoming but at least you can now schedule vacation.
The resort is offering us some very good room rates and will soon be taking reservations. I will post more details once the registration is open.
Soon we will begin updating the event site at www.MINIsInTheMountains.com and this site will be your clearinghouse for all MITM information.

So schedule vacation, prepare for reserving rooms and dream of August in the Colorado Rockies!

Sadness, I'm going to miss out on MITM this year...I have gone every year, but this one will have to be a no go. Have another trip planned to Europe shortly after MITM and need the funds. Jonathan and crew, I'm gonna miss ya! Hope Winter Park is a blast though!

 

This looks excellent. My wife and I are considering this heavily. I love that area in the summer. Have a sister in Denver, daughter at CU Boulder too.

So it looks like we'll have to set out a few more place settings and plan on a few more friends joining us for MITM.

MTTS will be in Denver from August 6 - 8 (Friday - Sunday) then people will motor up to Winter Park for MITM from August 12 - 15. This should be a great vacation for MINI owners across the country!

I'm suggesting you book your rooms at Winter Park soon. Be sure to tell them you are with MITM so you get our rates.

So now we can go public as well. MINIs In The Mountains (August 12-15) and MTTS will be joining forces so to speak. Look for mutual events in Winter Park on Friday and in Denver on Saturday. We will keep our website updated with all the news (www.MinisInTheMountains.com) so check it frequently. In the meantime I would suggest you book your rooms in Winter Park soon to take advantage of our great rates. Winter Park is just an hour from Denver and the drive down is awesome - this is the place to be for MITM and MTTS.

 

Chuck, this is most excellent news regarding the convergence of the two events. It should open up the opportunity for scores of potential participants who have finite vacation time to take advantage of both MTTS and MITM. It will certainly bring additional attention to MITM, which I consider to be the best organized of the big annual MINI events (not to mention having the largest smorgasbord of spine-tingling, sphincter-tightening twisties and breathtaking scenery).

Congrats on all of the coordination efforts bearing fruit!

There is really no hope of being there this year, I dont get back until February 2011 and I'm trying to extend my deployment to stay here 6 months longer than that. And when I get back I will have enough parts to install to make a stockcar look stock, then set everything up, so my car wont be leaving the garage for a while.
