Feedback JCW Carbon Fiber Shift ****

I know this should prob be in interior, but I thought I might get better feedback here. I've already done searches, and didn't find much.
I currently have a UUC RK 3 in stainless, but am thinking about going to the JCW. I see several people have sold theirs and moved to Whalen, etc., but not much feedback about liking it and why.
I use the Euro armrest all the time (normally have a passenger). A lower ball type **** is somewhat awkward going to 6th with the armrest down. It looks like the JCW one sits higher than the stock ****. The way its made, it looks like palm on the top, fingers over the front edge would be great for pulling over to the right and back for the 5th to 6th shift, and palm pushing straight up would be good for downshifting.
I like the looks of the Whalen delrin Le Mans type shifters, but it seems like it would be awkward with an armrest on th 5-to-6 shift since the shift lever leans so far to the right. Even now, I tend to cup the UUC with my thumb down and kinda push the **** away from me on that shift.
Anyone have anything positive to say about the JCW in either alcantara (would match my steering wheel) or leather?
Thanks!
Fig

I've never used the JCW, but I've made a variety of Le Mans inspired handles, as well as ball, and "light bulb" shaped *****. I find the handle style great for shifting into 1st-4th, but the round-top ***** better for 5th-6th.

I have the JCW shifter in my '05 JCW and like it a great deal. It is noticeably taller and lighter and the finger/palm position feels much better than the stock ball. I have no problems shifting into any gear with it and have enjoyed the quicker feel since the first moment I used it.

I haven't used the popular Whalen ****, so I can't give you an apples to apples comparison.

I also have the JCW carbon shift "****". I love the way it feels and it works great. It was a gift and I was not too sure about it at first... but it is great!

I really enjoy it and I think it looks great. Definitely a different look in my car when paired with the Craven Speed SSK and well cover.

I love my JCW Alcantara/CF shifter but it really suits my style of up/down shifting. I forehand pull 2nd, backhand pull 4th and 6th, and palm push 1st, 3rd, and 5th. It's especially perfect for the backhand shifts.
