That's damn light. Good thing it gets bolted on or it might just float away.

So, what other sizes will be availale?

When will it be available?

Will be priced like a typical BBS wheel or will it be more because it weighes less?

TIA.

Alex,

Looks really good. Besides silver any other finishes?
Will it keep the red centercap in final production run?
Any offset numbers yet?
Is this 15" legal for autocross with both MC and MCS?
When is the expected date of arrival?

Would you recommend the tire be 195/50-15?
That way the tire selection is better-
Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position $98 WR speed rated
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 $80 VR speed rated
Yokohama AVS ES 1000 $53 VR speed rated

Thanks for letting us know.

I don't think it's SCCA legal (stock classes) due to the width. As I recall stock 15" wheel width is more like 6", not 7.

Aha I see it is almost ready - been hearing great things about this wheel from the BBS folks.

minihune - no 15" wheel is legal for the MCS in autox unless your in a class that allows you to run any wheel.

This BBS wheel and the R90 are really totally different animals. The BBS wheel shown above is a lightweight 15" wheel that will appeal to those with strong bias toward performance and acceleration.

The R90 on the otherhand is really for someone who is interested in a nice looking 16" or 17" wheel. I had a set of R90's, and part of the appeal was that they were a MINI accessory wheel. The downside (for someone interest in acceleration) is that the R90's also weigh 25 lbs per wheel.

The stock MC 15" wheels are 15x5.5 and no MCS wheel is 15 thus these are not legal in any stock class or class that requires the wheel to be that of a factory size. But there still is a ton of people out there in other classes where these would be legal and would be a very appealing wheel.

yah, that is true. i kinda classify BBS as 'mesh' wheels and use other brands
for lightweight wheels so i guess this is a new thing for them.

Isn't 195/50/15 short on diameter and load? 205/55/15 is closest to stock diameter, but if you want faster gearing, 205/50/15 (also short) meets the load requirement.

I'm very interested in this wheel - 15" on a S. When can we see a picture of this on your upgrade garage site?

Thanks - Carl

I saw this wheel in person at the PRI show in Indy this past weekend. If I recall, the display was a 16" or 17", 4x100. Looked pretty darn good. Right below it was the RGR.

OK, now I REALLY can't wait. Anyone have suggestions about this terrible drooling habit that Alex has helped me to develop?

hey alex,
the bbs 15" is amazingly light. are you expecting something similar in a 16"?
did you get my email regarding the PA2s?
thanks for the update on wheels. i read on the forum recently that my 16" V spokes are only 18lbs. is this true? this makes very happy. now to get rid of the dreaded run flats. on the Pilot Sport 2's (which i want in the spring), i understand that there are only limited sizes for now but many more will be available in january. is this true?
best,
julia
