I just bought it yesterday. Its got the automatic. I've driven a mustang GT for the past 7 years and dearly loved it, but not the gas mileage or expense. The Mini is really fun to drive and I'm quite amazed at how much nicer the ride is compared to the 2006 gen. Quiet too. The auto sequential/paddle shifter is AMAZINGLY COOL! Very happy with the car.

Welcome and congratulations! I too came from driving a 1998 Mustang GT and was at first very surprised with the mini. The mini can beat the mustang hands down, after a few mods of course
