Hello ajc! Welcome to the site (still can't bring myself to use the new acronym)...and I hope you stick with us for a while

You'll fit. The front seats are good for folks up to about 6.5'. That doesn't leave much room in the back, but what the heck...it's a sports car.

If you want to figure out what it's worth, go to http://www.miniusa.com and do the "build your own" MINI. Just select the options that your car will have and in the end it comes out with a price. That'll be "MSRP"...and that's what most folks are paying (except for folks who get ripped off by dealers with markups).

Good luck! (although, that seems a bit redundant at this point )

yes you will fit, i know a guy who is about that size, the seat will adjust up and down, and it goes mighty low, oh yea and the front seat can go as far back as touching the rear seat.

I would keep it, if you can, if you have to sell it, i would say around 20K

I am 6'3" and find my Mini to be quite comfortable. I sit with the seat all the way down, most of the way back and tilted a little.

Better start saving to pay Uncle Sam; it's classed as 'unearned income' and has a high rate of tax attached!!!!

Sorry to burst your bubble.

Congrats and welcome to the tribe of MINIacs. If you actually get a chance to "pick" the car or some of its accessories, I'd recommend getting the premium package (sunroof, onboard computer, auto a/c). you mentioned getting leather, yes definately, CVT (can not say as mine is a manual MCS). If you are a performance driver, the extra 3K for the S is money well spent. The S not only has more power but it is the tuner's choice and several kits are now out to go to 200+ hp.

Don't listen to inioway, he is just trying to trick you out of your car... I, on the other hand, will pay $9,025 and accept ANY COLOR!!!

I won one also. I picked it up Wednesday from Mini of Nashville. I could recomend this to anyone. What a CAR!!!
I was online and registerd for the car and won. Bank of America was running a promotion. Mine is dark silver metallic with white roof and black panther leather.
John Monk at Mini of Nashville was great. I had the car within a week after I found i had won.

I'm 6'2", just ordered an MCS. I fit fairly well, still have a
couple of inches to go. My friend who was 6'4" sat in one,
he did fine- but he was nearly touching the room. I'd say
6'6"+ would be difficult. Tho, how many cars accomodate
people who are 6'6"+ anyways? I would say if you need the
cash- sell it (tho this profit is taxable, remember). The
resale on them is quite good still. I suspect it will
hold, perhaps a slight slip in residuals, but nothing like
say a PT Cruiser or anything.

As for leather, you could always get the seats redone-
costs between $1,000-$1,500.

Wheels, my oh my, their are MANY options here- do don't
fret. Everything from 15" to 18" (19" in case your hardcore).

caio,

-Matt

Since Cooperbeagle's now outbid me, I'll join in telling you size doesn't matter with a Mini. You will love it, but even if not, resale is good right now. Although I doubt many of them on Ebay get what they are asking (many are dealerships) some folks at this point just buy used to save the long wait. You are in a win/win winner's situation!

You will fit no problem! I am 5ft, but I have cousins who are 6'7 and 6'6. They got in the Mini at the same time and fit with headroom to spare. Granted, no one could sit behind them.

Sell it are you crazy? You must not have driven yet, or you wouldn't be having these horrible thoughts.

Congrats on the car ... how much did you have to "invest" until you won the car?

BTW: I am 6'7" and the car is super comfortable. Stick with it and use it for awhile, depreciation on it is almost non-existent so you can sell it later.

Cheers

Aloha and greetings from Hawaii,

The height variation has to do with the length of one's legs so the two variables for long drivers are height sufficient for headroom and length enough for leg room.

Generally we say that someone who is 6'7" will fit into a MINI as a driver. But there will not be much room left behind the driver except for a small child. Certainly not an adult.

You didn't mention about if you had won the MINI cooper or cooper S model with the S model being worth about $3000 more retail. Most big option packages are $1250 each.

If you sell right away with very few miles the cooper is worth at least 20K and the Cooper S at least 22K. It all depends which city you are selling in.

Congrats and good luck.

I think he won a Cooper, since he can have it in automatic.

hi guys sorry so late in replying

they lost my luggage on the way home. it was a contest from sprint pcs and best buy. i work for best buy. they sent a bunch of us to lake tahoe for free and we had a dinner at the south shore room in harrahs casino. they were giving away four wheelers jet skiis and snow mobiles and then the grand prize.... the mini! they randomly picked 20 people to have a chance at winning the mini i was picked 6th in line the first 5 people didnt get the right key... i reached in and grabbed a key turned it and then all kinds of stuff happened bells whistles music confetti it was nuts.... i have to say it was the most exciting thing that has ever happened to me.
