My new 2009 MINI! (pics inside)

Some of you might know, since July I've been tracking and waiting for my 2010 Mini Cooper S to come in. Well it finally did over the weekend so I went to pick her up, and walked out with a 2009! They had this beautiful Astro Black sitting in the showroom. It was similar to the one I ordered, but had more options and because of the special APR, turned out to be much cheaper! It was a no brainer.

Anyway, I LOVE this car. It is the best handling car I've ever driven. It is so much fun! Here are some pics..

Looks sharp. I'm glad you got a MINI that fits your needs, at a price that fits your budget. Too bad you played the waiting game for nothing though.

Well, I would have had to wait anyway. Had a BMW lease that ended next month, so we turned that in the same day I picked up my MINI! Everything worked out in my favor. Luckily they had this car in stock, as most on the lot were automatic.

Me too!! The car originally had $3,000 18" black JCW wheels on. I made sure they switched them out to the smaller, cheaper, and better looking web spokes.

Good choice (on the car and the wheels). The dealers love selling the JCW wheels, they must make a ton on them. That's probably why you can't get a factory JCW car without those wheels. Have fun tearing it up in the car!

I keep making excuses to buy coffee/groceries at night: there are a few nice bends around that particular shop + no traffic at night.

Nice car Kev, thanks for hanging with me in the Week 36 group! I personally have always liked the Astro Black, would've got it myself had one been around or still available when I ordered my 2010.

I'll post up some pics too just as soon as I get some with my Rotas and 215/50-16s on.

The journey of tracking a car was fun! I'm glad I still got to experience it, in a way

Sweet car. That's pretty close to what I ordered on my 2010 MCS. I love the painted flares! Very nice!

Congratulations on your new purchase! Great color choice!

I love the web spoke wheels. I saw them in person for the first time yesterday while stopping by South Bay Mini. Those wheels look awesome.

That grill is kinda cool! Why did MINI put in a slotted design vs. the usual honeycomb grill.

Thanks guys for the comments. I thought thats the grill that comes with the Aero Kit.

Speaking of the Aero kit, I didn't really like it at first, but it's really grown on me. Makes the car look a bit more upper class with the painted arches

Yup we've always had that grille.

which is kind of cool, but can suck too, if you ever want to change it. Its different and nobody makes a replacement. The chrome trim around it (bottom piece) is also different FYI

there are a few other things with the Aero kit, namely huge plastic underbody paneling you wont find on regular ones.
