2 MINIs one family? what do you think?
Hello NAMers,
It may sound like crazy, but my wife and I want to get a new MINI. Mine is 2008 MINI S with 6 spd and my wife can't control the 6 spd. She has a 2007 Honda civic and we will sell the car or trade for a new MINI.
We don't have a baby yet so it will be okay for now and she will get a probably 2010 MINI S with auto tranny. I know we are both going to be happy and enjoy fun to drive
. But there will be only two MINIs for our family, do you think that sounds crazy to you?

Not at all ( Family of 4 ). What about a clubman. She may like the rear barn doors better ?
I've been negotiating with my GF to sell her Element EXP and get a new Clubman ! So much more back seat room you could hold a darn board meeting back there !

You are not crazy. My parents are trying to figure out how to get their own mini.
Of course you are on NAM if you said I would be fine with only one mini people would think you were crazy.

We are on our way to four. I have an 08 R56 with JCW kit. The wife bought a Clubman S a year ago. Our 17 year old son has a 05 S and our daughter wants one when she gets her license next spring.
When we built our house in 2001, I had the garage elongated by six feet to accomadate our boat [which we sold a few years back]. Its a tight squeeze but we are ablt to fit all three in the garage [mine and my son's nose to tail] and I test fit it and we should be able to get the fourth one in as well. I enjoy the look on peoples face when they see three cars in a two car garage.

I'd do it. I was thinking of this originally, but I ended up getting an R32. I should have more seriously considered a clubman or a JCW or something, but the R32 was a comparative bargain. If I were to do it again, I'd have waited for the new GTI or an '09 WRX for the second car.
I can fit my classic and my R50 nose to tail on one side in a standard two car garage. That leaves just enough room behind my R53 for another classic. I think this next one will be for the track!
She couldn't decide whether she wanted: Clubman or Cooper, Justa or S, Manual or Automatic. After she had that narrowed down to an Automatic Justa-Clubman she just had to find one she liked color and options wise.
Ahh yeah, thanks for all your applies. But my wife just don't like clubman.... and also I thinking about engine power for justa clubman. we need to think about it little more.
