There's some interest in having a Meet n Greet and I'd be happy to coordinate and act as contact person.

What days work best for everyone? Any suggestions for location? I was thinking Upstream or a local tavern.

 

Good idea, T-POD. Maybe the Upstream out west? It has such a nice big parking lot to protect our cars. A Sunday?

 

I'm open for about any day also. Upstream sounds good to me also.

 

Weekends are best for us. Good bar choice....beer....mmmm

 

I work Fridays and Saturdays until 6:30 or 5:30. Those nights are fine, but I prefer Sunday as well. My next 3 or 4 Sundays are open . . .

tancred - I'm a big fan of big parking lots and that Upstream is a good location for people further west.

Yeah, the Upstream downtown is actually much closer to me, but Old Market parking is a ding waiting to happen.

I will be at the St. Louis Fall Rallye next weekend (yay!!), but any Sunday after that is fine for me. How about an afternoon? Then we can admire each other's MINIs in the daylight.

WildThang, I tried the Upstream's Alpen Glow Octoberfest beer last week, and it was gooood.

 

Sundays, afternoon, and beer...I mean Upstream works here.

 

Ok, how about Sunday, November 1 at 1.00pm? Daylight savings time ends that day so you'll have an extra hour to recoup from Halloween.

Hopefully we can get a few more folks to come. As it is I'm counting 5, right?

Ok...so we get it...he's in the C.O.R.N. fields now...just beware out there, it's combine season!

 

I was at the Upstream at Legacy today, and asked about bringing in a small group. The manager said we might as well make a reservation, so I did. It can be changed, cancelled, whatever. It's in Tracey's name (or "MINI Coopers") for Nov. 1, 1 PM, 10 people (again, that can go up or down). Football Sundays can get a little busy (but not as bad as Husker Saturdays, of course), so you at least know you will have a table for everyone. Hope this is fine with you guys.

Wow, how did I make the mistake of NOT subscribing to this forum section? If TPOD hadn't sent me a PM, I would have totally missed this.
My wife and I will be driving up to Minnesota that week-end but we are driving back that Saturday, Oct 30. We'll try to make it out there.

MINIPaige, if you are coming down we (the wife and I) could meet you off I-29 at the Blair exit and motor on down to Upstream with you, in case you're not familiar with the area.

Or off highway 77 if you're using that route down.

Now I"m stuck in a quandary...do I wash WildThang tomorrow and do the Anti_Rain Dance before sunset every night until the meeting, or do I procrastinate and gather offerings to the gods for nice weather over the weekend and wash her then?
