How long do you usually have to make changes after placing order and obtaining production number?

 

I contacted my salesman within one week of ordering. He attempted to change the color but could not do it. He then just ordered a completely new car with all the options I wanted (obviously with the new color). So, I was then given another production number. I was able to watch as both cars moved through the build process. The car I initially ordered was sold before it arrived. I was lucky to have an understanding salesman. He did not make me feel like I had to purchase the car I initially ordered. He just ordered another car.

Like I said, I did this very early in the process and it seemed like a difficult process for him (we traded numerous phone calls and emails). I suppose he had to get approval to order another car. It all worked out in the end. My pure silver MCS is a great looking car (I initially ordered the dark silver).
