Black wheel weights
Black wheel weights
Hey guys! We just got my wife a R55 and she got a flat tire already!
Anyways, we had the tire replaced at the dealership but when we picked it up we noticed the ugly silver wheel weight contrasting on her gloss black bridgespokes. They said there is no such thing as a black wheel weight and they were painted at the factory.
What do I do? It looks really ugly and is different from all the other wheels. Could they have just re-used the black one that came on originally?
Thank you!

You don't say what kind of weight they used - Most tires shops use self adhesive weights and mount inside the spokes so they are inconspicuous (exactly where they mount is determined by where the wheel/tire is out of balance.)
Couldn't you just take some black touch up paint and paint the stupid weights?
I seriously doubt the dealership stocks color matched weights in all the possible sizes, if any!
If they're self adhesive, they can't be reused. Besides, when they reinstall the tire on the wheel, chances are good the weight needed will be different due to installing the tire in a different location on the rim. Once upon a time, when they'd remove a tire to fix it they'd mark the tire at the valve so they could reinstall it without changing the weights.........but even if they had done so, it might have needed rebalancing anyway.
