Yet another oddity I found on my used 2008 MINI (justa) I purchased a couple days ago.

No where on the window sticker can I find the option for Fog lights, yet the car clearly has fog lights installed in the front. However I can't find a switch to turn these on, and I've looked everywhere.

According to the manual its supposed to be on the center switch stack right next to the drivers side window switch... yes? It's not there. There are only 3 switches there, two for the windows and one for the locks. So I have to wonder, was this car supposed to have those Fog lights? If not why are they on the car? Or if it was supposed to have the lights, did someone forget to install the switch? Or am I just having another brain fart.

 

Are those the daytime running lights?

 

Are they the top half of the round lamps on the bottom section of the bumper? Those are parking lights. The fogs are the other half.

 

Ahhhh.. that must be it! So is the bottom half a different color, like amber? Or is it also clear?

 

Clear and a bit brighter.
