Look closely there are sensors shown in the bumper. Are those front parking sensors? Is this an option in other countries outside the US?

Bloody 'ell. Can't back up without electronic help, can't pull forward without it either. Just take the bus until ya learn how to drive a MINI.

That's the first image I have seen of a MINI with front PDC. And I thought the idea of a MINI with just rear PDC was a bit excessive! Ah well, someone out there would feel the need for such a gadget on such a short, high-visibility car. I can see it on the huge sport utility behemoths, but a MINI? About the only saving grace to the feature is that for the rear it can help spot children and pets while backing up.

I dont like it simply because it makes the bumpers look riveted on.

I am a serious gadget hound... And generally intrested in any and all gadgets that are MINI specific. I have from time to time wished I had the rear sensors. Not very often but occasionally.

Anyways... Does anyone know when this will be offered? MINIUSA only lists the rear as an option. I searched here and over at MINI2 and found nothing.

I do hafta say the MINI is a gadget maven's dream car. I remember seeing a mention somewhere about front PDC being offered soon, but cannot remember where I read it.

I'd rather be known for needing parking sensors, then for some reason or another wrecking a bumper if I had a mini. might be helpful with those cement curb thingys in parking lots.

I wonder if that is the kind of system that interacts with the cruse control? I have seen those on the front of other cars that had that system.

I have PDC on my bimmer, I love them as I back into parking spots, u never know if there is like a metal bar and stuff u wouldnt see at night...

We got PDC for the MINI for the same reason, $300 is much cheaper than repairing or replacing bumper... we're not bad drivers (i plan to bring my girlfriend to track events with me in her car), just "cheap insurance"...

FRONT PDC on a MINI, however, is definitely excessive... haha!
