Newb Having some trouble

Hi all im a newb and just got my 08 mini almost fully loaded i did have a quick question i asked somewhere else i was told to look here

when i plug in my iphone (3gs) into the ipod/usb adapter the music is pretty distorted and this doesnt happen with my radio/cd. HOw do i fix this? do i need to go buy a new one? Any Helps appreciated and i hope to have pics up in the next few days

You posted in the first gen forum, but you have a second gen MINI. If you look in the 2nd Generation Nav/Audio forum there are already threads about using an iPhone with the iPod adapter. Short version: there are problems with charging the iPhone for some, and with playback from the iPhone for others.

Ya i noticed that I'm sorry lol. I read those thread but they don't give much help or a solution I've deceided to just get a car charger and use a USB stick til it's fixed for my 3gs

Have you tried doing a backup and restore of your iPhone? Sometimes that will fix things when an iPhone acts flakey. I have no issue with play quality on mine.
