When will the miniusa.com configurator be updated for 2010?

Does anyone else keep checking back to see when it will be updated for 2010 models? I want to know what the colors, options, etc. will be for 2010 models!

I do all the time. Heard originally it was supposed to be Sept 15th, but that came and went. I have an inbound 2010, and don't even know if there were some minor cosmetic changes inside or out.

I'm also curious about this, I was considering buying an 09, but now I'd like to see what the deal is. If pricing goes up, I may just buy one off the lot if I can find a remaining one that appeals to me.

Hopefully the exterior doesn't have any cosmetic changes, and there's no increase in pricing!

Here's some good info on the changes for 2010. Fairly minor IMO.

If you go to the "Payment Estimator" on MINIUSA.com, Step 2 shows all the prices for next years models. On average they're going up about 400 bucks I think. Not too bad.

I'm sure they'll have to update it soon enough, I mean, once '09 isn't available for production anymore. I'm assuming that ends very soon, right? A few months prior to the end of the year?

Last summer the configurator was updated July 23rd since all the '08 slots were taken but production still didn't start until October for the '09 models. The previous year is wasn't updated until November 20 for the '08's so it's anyone's guess when they'll update it for 2010.

Configured the way I'd like it, the Cooper-S is only $150 more, if I dropped the LSD in favour of the EDLC, it'd be $350 cheaper.

Finally the configurator is updated!

With my configuration, my MCS is actually $100 CHEAPER than the 2009 model.

The sport package is $250 cheaper
The MFSW is now standard (was $250)
MSRP went up by only $400
TOTAL: $100 less! YAY!

2010 MINI configurator is on www.miniusa.com

www.miniusa.com changed to 2010 models yesterday.

Now we can all build Mayfair and Camden special editions!

Electronic Differential Lock Control. Its part of the DTC option and synthesises LSD using the brakes.

I have a similar set up as you kevin, except I added DTC and Sport suspension... any thoughts on that, are they worth adding? I live in NYC, and the weather can be iffy. Would the DTC enhance performance significantly enough to add it?

I have DTC too, as it comes with the sport package. I think the DTC is worth it. It puts more power to the wheel that needs it for more spirited driving around corners. But then there is DSC, which comes standard it also stabilizes your car is slippery conditions or iffy weather. I think DTC is more for spirited driving and not so much weather. That is how I understand it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

And as for the sport suspension... I test drove one with, and one without the sport suspension. The only difference I noticed was a stiffer ride. To me it wasn't worth it. The regular suspension is already pretty good.

Interesting thoughts... I may have been mislead about the practicality of DTC, maybe I'll skip it unless some divine being comes and proves us both wrong

As far as sport suspension, every mini owner I know, who seems to be on the hardcore side of driving, believes that it's a worthwhile upgrade.

I was thinking of going JCW suspension down the line, but not initially due to cost. How much stiffer was the sport suspension? (I really just need to get down to test driving them, but without doing that, any help would be great)
