comfort access not working

Just received a new key/remote from MINI. While the key works, the comfort access feature does not. So I have to push buttons on remote to open or lock doors, and I have to put it in the slot to start the car.

Anybody have any ideas why the comfort access doesn't work, and how to get it to work?

Dealer needs to program it for your car.
