Bought an aftermarket car battery... now clamp won't fit
My car battery died on sunday, and my mini dealerships are closed on sundays. So I went to my local auto store, and bought a motormaster battery for my 2005 mini cooper.
Everything is fine, and the car starts with no problems now, but I can't fit the bar that prevents the battery from moving around. The motormaster battery is a little wider I guess, and the bar / clamp can't fit around it.
Any tips on how to secure the battery in place? or get that bar to fit?
THANKS!

Kustom Metal work.
my battery was too short
I built it up with a pad of wood and a cut up mouse pad
Its really important to get that sucker tied down.
Least when you drive like me.
I would kustom up a bracket
just get some metal from Home Depot
Punch a hole in it and bend it around
Use the factory bolts and save your stock one.
Sounds to me like they gave you the wrong battery though :(
