Cooper Editorial Comparisons/Reviews
New article in Winding Road Mag; Cheap Thrills Part Two; Mustang V-6 vs. MINI Cooper...
http://wrmag.nextautos.com/issue/49/119
After reading it, it's clear that they should have been comparing it to the MCS. They are comparing a $25k Stang to a $22k MINI...why not go for a base MCS at the same price
Even still, they had some quite favorable things to say about our cars.
It's always interesting to see views and impressions of our beloved cars by the general (non-motoring) public.

They are comparing the base Mustang to the base Cooper. That is fair. If they were comparing the Mustang GT to the base Cooper, then they'd have some splanin' to do!
I don't agree with that at all. If they spent as much as that on a JustACooper they must have loaded it up. Its not a far comparison. The Si has a lot more power then a base Mini. A Mini S would be better to compare to. And if they are going to state price well then make it worth our while and do a JCW. It seems everyone is out to get Mini and I think its BS. The Mini has been at the top for so long for just overall fun that everything out there is trying to take it out cause they want their applainces to win out. Yes I said applaince cause if you don't use it for fun the you are using it as a tool.
I believe the point of the whole article is to compare reasonably priced "sporty" cars. (Hence the title of the series; "Cheap Thrills")
They even had a article dedicated to the 09 JCW...so they are familiar with the brand.

IMHO...as for sporty cars under $25k I think the MCS vs. the MazdaSpeed3 would be a perfect competition. But I do like the fact that they are making the article interesting by comparing two completely different machines.

Cool recent comparison of 2009 MCS Convertible and a BMW 128i Convertible...
