This is for fun. But I was thinking why I have lost 5 pounds sense I bought my mini.

1. I buy the kids meals now, just so I get the smaller drink that fits in the cup holder.

2. I'm having so much fun driving, I don't think of food.

3. I try to keep an empty stomach so I can take the corners faster without getting sick

4. ....

Any thoughts. I need a good laugh.

You’re spending less time trying out those recipes you’ve not seen on the Home and Garden channel that you’re not watching because you’re motoring.

1. I always drive naked so I can save weight so I can save some weight.

2. I always have my AC off while I was driving no matter what the weather is. So I can gain an extra HP.

3. I always have a ½ tank of gas so I can have less weight so I can bang the corner batter.

4. I always park my MINI about ¼ of a miles away so I can feel save about my MINI not getting ding from other car.

Rather than spending $1000 for new lighter weight wheels and tires, you can save the weight by losing 50 lbs. instead!

(wheels-and-tires are "unsprung" weight - you are "Sprung" weight!)

Heel-and-toe shifting and auto-x steering motions are aerobic exercise.

Keep a salad nice and cool in your airconditioned glovebox.

Constant cleaning of brake dust and waxing of the MINI builds upper body agility.

8Ball,

Yes of course, This is a humor thread, not a performance modification thread. possibly the lack of emotives caused undue confusion.

Excellent MINI drivers that compete in autocross benefit from being lean mean driving machines so it must be all your hard work in the weight room and agility exercises that are burning calories like mad. Either that or maybe you should take your helmet off once in a while, the perspiration can't evaporate fast enough.

And if you run your AC not only do you rob power from the engine but don't you feel a little cold when you drive naked? I guess with a helmet on it isn't that cold. Bit of an extreme on each end. It's part of your training to be tough.

But I'm planning to lose the sprung weight in the Spring.

It's a good concept. I'm not 50 lbs. overweight, but I'm a good 30. I'm sure it will help performance if I drop that weight.

I spend so much money on aftermarket parts for the MINI, I have no money left over for food!

Time spent on regular cleaning of the MINI to keep her "look'in good" involves lots of bending and stooping...equal to that of a regular exercise routine
