Anyways, I'm having a very similar problem. When shifting from 1st to 2nd and sometimes 2nd to 3rd (much more odd), I hear a pretty loud (but soft) clicking noise. It does sound like the gearbox just changing gears, but it's enough to raise attention.

I just got the car two days ago, and this is my first manual, so I was wondering if it was just my driving habit, but I had a friend drive it and he had the same problem.

But if the windows are up and the radio is on, you can't really hear it, but again, it still doesn't quite sound right.

like two pieces of metal forcefully snapping into gear. its normal, I thought Red Line MTL would cure it, but still does it when cold, fast shiting, and shifting with unmatched revs. But MTL made shifts smoother

 

Yeah mine does that. Tranny feels smooth as butter but the 1->2 shift makes a bit of a click. I figure it's normal.

 

Alright. I'm taking her into the dealer soon to get my squeaky clutch looked at, I'll see if they have anything to say about it.
