Painting Factory Wheel Arches Matte Black?

I'm starting to see more and more cars on the street sporting the murdered out look and thought this might be a cool, subtle thing to do on the factory wheel arches.

Would it make a difference or just be a waste of time?

I'd find it mute if you do it flat black seeing they are black already. Be a different story if you did the whole MINI in a flat color.

A. Waste of time and money. Arches are already flat black.

B. The site you linked to is suspected as being a malware site.

Sorry, link fixed. My browser didn't detect anything.

So you guys don't think it would look painted vs. plastick-y?

For all the effort you may as well just paint them same as body or other contrasting color.....I don't think you will really get much from it as the differences will be so subtle.

There have been several pictures posted of MINI's with flat black paint jobs. The factory trim was left alone and really didn't look much different than the paint. Actually you had to really look hard to notice it as being different than the paint at all.

I have painted some flat back trim before we'll flat black. To be honest you couldn't tell it had been touched after a week or so. Something to maybe do if you have really badly sun-bleached trim but other than that I don't think you would really achieve much of a result.
