wahoo.....its done!!

and i had to tell someone who would understand...

2009 MCS Dark Gray with black roof...a few options and the best part is i pick it up this week

A weeks ago i never even considered buying either a new car or a mini, but i had to put my car in the shop for a couple weeks and the rental geico gave me was a 2009 mini/auto...that was the coolest 2 weeks of driving and i knew the second i got back in my honda that it was not going to be around much longer. So i started shopping/obsessing...

Fast Foward to today when i finalized my deal with Keeler MINI....the only thing i am changing on the car she got me was it comes off the boat with 17" all season wheels and tires, and I am askign her to drop that to 16" to improve ride and handling...in the winter i will run dedicated snow tires.

Did i do the right thing?? Oh and the interior comes with heated seats is carbon black with piano black surface....i guess now i need to find a picture of that

Hello hello! Sounds like a great MINI. You went the easy way and got a pre-build car. Some of us here (me) have been waiting on our new MINI for weeks. I hope you enjoy your MINI when it gets here, who would have thought that your Honda breaking down would be so great!

I can't believe you got an '09 MINI as a Loaner from an Insurance Co. since these babies are a bit more to insure than a normal coupe.

Anyway Welcome to the Namily!! Post pics. of your Baby when he/she arrives!!

They agreed to take off the rims and give you 16s? I know they will do that with used, but not new cars... usually.

IMHO, 16s will give you a pikes peaks clearance in the wheel wells that just doesn't go as well as 17s or 18s.

If you want a better ride, I would go with non run flats (which you are getting? I think...)

i have 16's and they seem to be a good size. There are a ton of tires in this size to choose from and you can get another set of rims at a good price.

And...how did you like the Oxygen Blue??
Being a O2Blue Mom I'm kind of predudice, but I understand the color is not for everyone.

I loved the O2 Blue and so did everyone who saw it...but long term and being a 48 year old married guy...i think the dark silver was a better choice to buy.

But i will say looking on the dealer floor tonight for the first time and getting a chance to see most if not all the colors...i would say the 02 blue is right up there in my top 3. i LOVED my dark silver pic and i think it is my favorite..glad i chose it somewhat blind. I would also say it does not need bonnet stripes. I liked the PW too..and for down the road i liked the sparkling silver.

Really the only one i did not like was the Racing Green...and that was my second choice (again buying blind)....it just looks cheap to me and makes the car look like a toy. It might have been the showroom lighting too...because it looks great in some of the pics i have seen here.

I did not see a black one so i can't comment.

So over all i am 100% happy with dark Silver and black roof...with piano black interior.

Plus i love the crown spoke 17" wheels...

Congratulations, so your keeping the 17" crowns and buying some 16s for winter?

Nice color choice, you can't go wrong with DS and it does not need stripes, but it looks nice with them if you go that way.

Did you do the right thing? Well Yeah! But stick with the 17s they look better and if you stick with 45 or even 50 series tires the ride will be just as good as 16s
