07 for sale in my area...opinions

As I still have not replaced my a4 quattro with a fun car, there is a mini in my area that I'd like your opinions on-price wise.

It's a 2007 S with (dealer certified) JCW intake, ECU, Exhaust, body kit, spoiler.(it also has carbon JCW crap like mirror covers, shifter, rear latch) It has all the Alta silicone plumbing, larger rear swaybar, and motegi traklite wheels. Also, wilwood calipers, rotors, pads.

It looks great, and has not been a track toy. (I don't know why the big brakes are for the street?)

He is firm at 27,000. It's a sweet ride, no doubt, but can I do better piecing one on my own?

thanks

That seems high for that car, I'd rather go for a base JCW car for a few grand more which would give you all the engine and brake upgrades already, you'd just need a sway bar and jcw aero kit if you so desire. You'd also have a new car with full warranty. You may even be able to get a discount on a JCW, so new seems better if he wont budge on the price.

You should decide if u want those nice jcw accessories or not. For example, the aero kit adds at least 2500 to the price. It really adds a lot to the car but expensive to add to a new car. Sounds like a very hot car but u should decide what u want. U can also try to build one online with the jcw parts to see what these parts cost.

All those accessories take a big hit at the time of resale, that's a $17-18k car with a lot of good accessories, but it doesn't sound like it's worth $10k for used jcw power kit, aero kit, trim, bbk, sway bar and wheels.

Mileage and other Factory Accessories

You don't mention which factory options the car has (Premium, Cold Weather, Convenienc, Sport, etc.) but it does have a bunch of aftermarket stuff along with the JCW options.
The earlier poster suggested the JCW car and several dealers around the country have them at discounted prices, as much as $3500. Not a bad choice considering it's new.
If the 07 is real low mileage and you like the options, it's not horrible, but it's definitely not a steal either. Low mileage, great condition, typical factory packages, it's probably a $25K car. No options avg. mileage its closer to 21-22K. IMHO
