Will an aftermarket CAI mess with any warranty

I have an Alta CAI on my 08 MCS I'm about to take it in for its first service will this mess with any warranties or will i be given any grief for having an aftermarket part?

Grief depends on the dealer, but legally they can only void the warranty on things the CAI would effect. Do a search on "void warranty" and you'll even get to see the law posted here.

If there was something wrong with say, sputtering or something then I'd pop it off before taking it in.

Last time i was in for an airbag light, my MA asked like he ususally does.. "So what have ya added since last time?" lol. Always interested in checking out the mods.

Heck, my dealer has an Alta CAI on display in the showroom....in a glass case! They never said a thing about my aftermarket parts.
