anyone with H&R Touring Kit on R53?

I am interested to get the H&R touring kit for my 06mcs, currently I am running on stock sport suspension with TSW springs. The ride on the TSW springs are very nice and comfortable even on the bad road, but the only one catch is the wheel gap still there (even I put the 215/45/17 tires). It might sounds a little crazy but I just cannot stand the wheel gap everytime I see my MINI. I am also would like to improve the cornering ability on my mini, it is my addiction for speed.
H&R offer a very reasonable price suspension package for R53, which lower the car about 1.5" front and back, that should take care the wheel gap. I am wondering if anyone out there have any experience on this kit. I would really love to know how it change the ride and handling?
thank you all and happy motoring.

MANNNNNN< boy can i relate, im on h and r springs and i mean big bumps can be felt pretty easily, but i can totally fell you on the wheel gap man. Luckily u have the cash laying around to spring for some coilovers. H&R makes a quality product.

My guess would say that any coilover would ride a whole lot better than springs, not to mention perform. Go for it, and take some pics for me when u do, if your wheel gap is attractive enough i may have to spring.

Good Luck

this is the kit I am talking about, it is lot reasonable than the coilover and it is the regular shocks with lower springs. I just wonder how good they are, they are asking $750 for the set.

I think Bilstein manufactures the dampers for H&R (at least for other applications I have used them on).

This thread suggests that Koni makes the Cup Kit dampers and Bilstein makes the coilover dampers- no experience with cup kits but the H&R coilovers I have used on two different cars were Bilstein.

Anyone ever have any feedback on these? They look pretty attractive to me if I ever spring for some new shocks. I'm not sure I'd want progressive springs on the mini though- do they take away a lot of initial turn in feel? I don't want my Mini to feel "dead" when the wheel is at center.

I love them. Have them on for almost a year now, love them even more when I hit the corner. It ride a little bit more harsh than the TSW but it corner much better than the tsw. just because the spring rate match perfectly with the rebound rate of the shock (I think). it drive like a mini and it corner like much more like a mini now.
