I got on the road way too early, leaving Roseburg at 3:30 a.m., to hit Portland before the rush hour traffic got too bad. I came up for a regular service call and to see if my catalytic converter needed replacement as per the recall.

They were out of the replacement converters, but I knew that since they called earlier in the week to say I could cancel and come back later, when they had the part. But I'd already taken the day off, so that wasn't any big deal.

Anyway, I got the car back and one of the first things I noticed was that they replaced the chromelike outer ring to the key fob. It had cracked more than a year ago and I had got it to stay put using some super glue. However, it gave out completely a couple of months ago.

I didn't ask them to replace it or expect them to, but they just did it on their own. I appreciated it. Small thing, but they seem to take care of those small things and the larger ones.
