My local dealer almost never holds MINI rallies...I would be happy to have anything.
Considering the state of the auto industry as a whole I think show's a lot of dedication to the MINI community that they are still spending the time and money to put on these types of events.

Morristown Mini did a rally last October and I got a T-Shirt. I would have gotten a hat also if I stayed long enough but I was green and stupid and bailed out before it was over because I didn't know the pumpkin patch had a bathroom (how many pumpkin farms have public toilets?? Really??).
I'm not saying that a rally isn't worth going to if it doesn't have any swag but if a dealership is doing a rally then they already have the line on the phat swag as standard.

I apologize-I was probably in the can when you needed it. Had to push the llamas out of the way.
That was a great event. I see my car in one of your pictures.
We signed up to attend this event. I'm really looking forward to it whether we get freebies or not. If Prestige plays their cards right though they just might be able to get two MINI owners to switch from Mo-town MINI. We never got the free stuff we were promised when we bought MINI #2.

I'm stiill thinking about going.
Your doing the Sonic then and then this? Damn thats hardcore! I wouldn't be able to sleep if I did both. Well see you at the Prestige thing.
SWEEEEEET!!!!!
I'm so there. Unless its a complete and total downpour of rain. I have some left over UK 'Ardkore mix CDs that I gave out at the Jim Thorpe Run if anyone wants one (they're free). I know Wolfee the dancing queen has to have one.
I didn't win anything but I got a nice t-shirt so I can't complain.
The path that we took was nice but it would have been MUCH BETTER if everyone had two way radios and a SWEEPER (a person at the end of the car chain who blocks traffic so that the group pulled over to the side of the road can rejoin the road w/o non MINIs getting into the chain). The only person who was using a two way radio other then me was INMINI2007 who was disappointed to find out that I was me and not the Prestige person at the front. ;P *lol*
The scaryiest part of the run was that cliff with the aggressive windy road. It had a few look out point parking spaces on the side. That was truly something, I never saw anything like that before, except in a video game like Outrun or Ridgeracer. The run was fast but not as fast as the JTR which was good. Actually I think the gray MCS behind me was having trouble keeping up with me which was different for a change.
Dispite the rain, this was a fun day!
I would certainly go to another Prestige rally esp since they feed you well and give out free t-shirts. It was nice to see Jeff, Colleen, Colleen's planetfitness friend Steve, and Juan who must have left early.
Wish I could have met more folks, esp nice single girls.

This was my first MINI rally and it was a blast!
That one spot on the winding road was absolutely amazing! What a sight! It looked as though there was a MINI on every turn.
Next time I'll leave a bit earlier so I can meet more of you- I got there with just enough time to spare to take a few pictures and leave for the rally (course I did leave early, just not early enough it seems
).
The lunch was very nice, I wasn't expecting so much. I didn't win anything either but the shirt and the rally were plenty to make my day. I thought I couldn't wait for MOT before, but now I'm stoked!
I will definitely be coming if Prestige holds another rally. Thanks everyone!

Highway 97 and 17a were totally awesome.
I agree that two way radios really need to be utilized.
Here's the route plotted out on Google Maps

Jeff thanks for posting this, I was so sorry i could not make the run but I had a guy come down from CT to pick up a set of wheels, and another guy come from Long Branch to pick up another set, both within an hour of each other. Have to clear out the garage as i have more stuff coming for the Charger this week and I need the room.
I am going to follow the directions you left here 1 day this week as I have alot of free time, and can use a quick run.
Thanks again for the help with the Grill, I still did not get the lights on it, but hopefully by the weekend if all goes well
