Looks great! I love the look of white wheels with a white roof, too. If you don't mind me asking, how much was the powdercoating?

Looks great, and I'm not a big white wheel fan. I do like the RBs in the blacks and in gold. I presume you had to get them powdercoated yourself right? How's the evil brake dust on those white boys <cringes>?

that is exactly what I want to do!

can you send me the details on the powdercoating? (how much, what color spec you used, etc.)

The MINI white is not pure white, so a lot of aftermarket white wheels don't match.

Are those 17's?

EXCELLENT!! I am having my JCW Challenge wheels powder coated white.
Do you have a paint info by chance? How do they match your roof?

Powdercoating is around $75 per wheel. When I had mine done that included clear coat, which I recommend because it makes wheels really easy to clean.

For those interested, Rota sells them in White if you want to avoid the powdercoating

Really?

I've never seen them in white before. Can you point me toward a retailer? I need to bookmark it!

I contacted them before about white wheels. They said that they would have to be special ordered and need a large order before rota would make them. I guess they carry them now, very interesting

whats our bore size? would the 8.5" work? or stick with the 7.5"? 7.5's are +45mm offset, 8.5's are
+4mm. I could use a little poke!!

our bore size is 56.1mm, but you can use hubcentric rings if they are too big.

8.5 et4 will poke a ton. I use to run that on 15's with a whole bunch of stretch and it was a tight fit. Trying it with 17's would be next to impossible.

I like, but would prefer if it was done where the polished lip was left, then it would look amazing. The RBs just look so classic, one of the best looking wheels for a cooper.

VERY excellent prices also considering shipping is included in the price! I was pricing their Konig Foils. They are still cheaper than ALTA with ALTAs 14% off sale right now. ALTA doesnt do free shipping either. Wonder if ALTA would match the price with free shipping? Worth a try....

Sorry I didn't get back sooner to answer your questions but I forgot to subscribe to the thread and then forgot I started the thread. I paid about $100 per wheel which was the 'off-season price' at Precision Powder Coating in Plainville, CT. www.powdercoatingit.com It's a small shop that only does auto and motorcycle work. John (the owner) knows his stuff. A car guy through and through. He knew what color to use to match the MINI white. I highly recommend him.

I didn't get the factory white RBs because they had a chrome rim and I didn't want that. Personal choice. I didn't see any all-white RBs from Rota.

As for dust, my original MINI wheels (Bridgespokes -- now my winter wheels) were white so I know the drill. Having white wheels is like having a black car. Looks great clean but shows every bit of dirt. Since right now I only drive the MINI on weekends, it works for me.

If those aren't 17s they need to be. But I like the white looks good.

They are 16". For me, the smaller wheel is a tip of the hat to the original MINI look.
