Oil Temp/Press Gauge Sender Locations?

Want/need to put oil temp. and press. gauges on my '08 R56. Looking hard at AutoMeter's with electrical senders. Anybody know where the senders attach, and how much work is involved? Haven't bought the gauges yet, but, Alta's pods are on the way! Appreciate any help - Dwight

PS: Summit said to use the turbo oil feed line for both senders. Not so sure, what with the heat, etc.

Check with Grassroots Garage, i believe they are working on some new (they may have finished) sender attachments for the 2nd Gen Mini's.

I am not finding the thread on this but there is one around here somewhere.

I spoke with grassroots about this this week, they have a prototype installed and will be producing their first batch very soon. For the record, the adapter they are producing will be just for oil pressure. From speaking with them, the best place to get oil temp would be from the bottom of the oil pan.

If you go onto their site and fill out the contact form, they will add you do the list of people they are going to be contacting when the part comes available.

Here is the thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/electrical/148459-anyone-have-an-oil-temp-guage-in-their-r56.html

Oil pressure sender location

Thanks schatzy62/btwdriver. Talked to Grassroots on Fri. Their sender sounds pretty neat, installs in OEM sender location but does not eliminate it. No CEL to deal with. Will be ready in ~2wks and they hope for a price of ~$60. I'm on the
list. Giving up on the oil temp (for now) as I don't want anything sticking out the bottom of the pan. Putting in water temp with m7's sender instead.

Muchos Gracias, Dwight
