Has anyone done a survey of problems/issues by week of production to see if there is a correlation of any sort?

Just the other day I read a post on NAM that stated, as if it were fact, that nobody wanted a car built in August just before the factory production drawdown.

I'm sure MINI has data, but no reason they would share this with us, however maybe someone has done this as a hobby. Of course, maybe we don't really want to know. Could lead to a minor case of MINI angst.

 

I doubt that there's any way to determine quality issues versus build date. There was a well publicized issue with labor unrest recently at the plant following a wave of layoffs, but unless your MINI was built right around that time I doubt the build date should concern you.
