Nice story and an adequate history briefing, albeit abbreviated and missing some key milestones. Though, it's clear that the contributors don't have any first-hand knowledge of MINIs -- just look at the picture of the purportedly 2004-era Cabrio.

Well I don't have the knowledge of the Mini history either but thought that picture was a little "retro".

Oh yeah, what in the world were they thinkin' w/ that convertible pic?!?!?!?! Otherwise...nice!! Always glad to see items in the U.S. that try to explain what Mini/MINIs are all about.
