Hi there and this is my first post.Quick question, will the factory base rack
for the Clubman fit on the R56 Cooper. I'm asking about the bases themselves. The crossbars should be easy to modify. If the bases are the same and the crossbars are a different length. If the design is anything like the design on the R53.

 

At one point, the R56 Coupe and the Clubman were using the same part number for the base support system. MINIUSA quickly became aware that the base system, when fitted to the Clubman, was rubbing the paint off the raised roof sides on the Clubman. The solution was redesigned ends to clear the Clubman roof.
Anyway, to answer your question...the Clubman base system should fit the coupe, but the Coupe base system will need these little pads that MINI offers to go between the base ends and the roof of the Clubman.

Thanks for the info I thought they should be close. Someone has one for
sale locally for a clubman. I'm in the hunt for an R56. Thanks for the welcome
this is about the best no B.S car forum I've been on. Seems to be all about
the cars, with very little other drama.
