RE-11 Impressions?

Anyone running the Bridgestone RE-11's on the street? I need to dump these run flats and want a sticky tire that isn't noisy.

TIA

I will be doing the testing next week. I report impressions back on street and track!

It's a shame that you missed out on the ridiculous closeout pricing on the RE-01s (a couple of months ago?). IMO, any of these ST* ringers are overkill for street use, even on a MINI driven with enthusiasm. On the other hand, if you have dual purpose use in mind (street plus autocross in STX), I've heard that the Kumho XS has been testing faster.

I disagree, they (RE-01R's) are great for the street! I've not had any wet weather problems and they stick like glue. Definitely not overkill.

So far I like them. Coming out of driveways where one wheel doesn't have a lot of contact they have a tendency slip, but other than that they are some grippy goodness. I haven't run them in much rain yet, so I can't tell you wet handling as of now. They are not a quiet tire, but I think they are a little more quiet than my BFG KDW2's were, and they seem to have great grip. Once I get tuned I will put them to the test for sure!!
