Completely have to agree. Of course the picture is just a mock-up but I think the non-metallic BRG with pepper white roof and mirrors will be stunning. Reminds me of some my dad's old Jag. Very excited about this!

Oh - that's going to **** a lot of people off. It's got the non-metallic British Racing Green that BRG owners have been begging for for years, but with only 50-100 planned, the odds of getting one are virtually nil (never mind what it'll cost).

And if MINI uses a traditional British Racing Green for this ultra-limited edition, what are the odds that the color will ever show up in the "normal" lineup afterwards?

Performance will be the same. This is cosmetic, not performance. The green will be substantially darker than that picture (that picture is just a mockup)--see motoringfile, there's been an update.

This color will not show up in the normal lineup. It's a limited edition run. Not only that, but it appears it won't be available here--just in the U.K.

Damn. I wish they wouldn't play color games. I love how configurable Minis are, but one improvement would be more custom colors. I mean BMW makes you pay $500 for metallic, I'm sure some would pay $1k for picking a wider array. Same with the two-tone leather combos. It would be great to have more of those, and more color lines.

I wonder if they'll ever make Harlequin models like VW did. Not for everybody, but kind of neat. A b/w one would be cool, black fenders, white roof, hood and hatch...

Heck, I'm glad I got a Lightning Blue/Pacific blue two-tone leather combo now that it's gone.

They should have complete customizable colors, anything in the Mini/BMW pallet should be available for a price. I believe Audi and Porsche have this as a $2-3K option.

For cosmetics not worth it. You could just paint your car that or some other color and have a more personalized car. I am not one for limited edition cars that are just cosmetic differences. If they were to bump the performance numbers even more than that of the JCW and paint it that color it would be awesome.
