Interior Noise

I am trying to decide between convertible and not. How much road noise is there in the convertible compared to hard top? I need to use the car to commute an hour each way to work at high speeds. No dealer near here.

Thanks!

Ken

i own a cabrio, i ride in a friend's hardtop from time to time though.

the noise is not even noticable. obviously the hardtop is a bit more airtight than the convertible. but its not like you're hearing the canvas flapping, or wind seeping in here and there.

i'd say for the most part, when the cabrio is closed up, its pretty much like driving in a regular car.

No noticable difference to us... We have an '08 MCS Hardtop and just ordered an '09 MCS Convertible (due in a couple of weeks). Before orderdering we test drove new Convertible because we had the same concerns about wind noise, etc. With the top up there was no noticable difference to my wife and I, so we went for it.

If you like top down motoring, then get the new convertible.
