Just had some graphic work / black out work done. Tell me what you think. Mostly of the side panel and the mirrors. I purposely don't show the hood and roof because I'm not so crazy about the look of the checkered stripe... I'm jut not feeling it. I will change that and post pics when I'm done. Please be honest. Thanks.

Thanks Malcon! It doesn't look so bad on the top, but the hood doesn't look as good. I have some ideas, so we'll see.

 

I like those checkers on your A-Panel. The smaller, 3-D checkers are really unique and go well with your MINI.

Not sure I like the "CooperS" on the mirror caps. Maybe it would grow on me but at first glance... not so good.

The stripe on the roof, what I can see of it, looks good. A full checkered roof graphic would be too much with those A-Panels so that's a good fit.

 

Thanks. The guy that did the graphics, Chris at www.designwerks.us, didn't care for the mirrors either, even though he sort came up with it, out of the blue. As soon as I saw them, I loved them. However, the vinyl is peeling from underneath, which he told me would happen. It was more so I could see what it would look like. I'm going to have the mirrors painted to match the body then have him put the check pattern back on the mirrors and probably the Coopper S. Maybe R53 instead of Cooper S... don't know.

 

I like the side panels the most. The roof looks okay too. The side mirrors gotta go though.

 

Looks great. Definitely different. It's so good to see some new ideas from time to time. Keep up the good work.

 

I like the design, but I think it would look better if you used black checks, instead of grays and white....would tie in all the black on your car...but thats just me.

 

I am with MUShadd on that one. The checkers look good but as he said; if they were black checkers that fade in shadow to body colour to match the car it would look very smart. I do like where you are going with it

 

Really? I mean I thought of that but I liked a more complimentary color instead of just going black. I was trying to avoid the standard "Checkmate" look for those side panels. Plus the drop shadow doesn't work as good with black checks.

What you can't see in the pictures is the hood. I don't care for it, which is why there are no pics of it. I'm going to change it soon. The hood has black checks faded in starting a little darker than body color. No white checks, just black. Same as the roof, basically but the roof is black. I'm going to change it quite a bit. Probably black white checkered on the hood and all the way through. We'll see.
