Drivetrain E throttle
E throttle
Hey all,
Just curious about the drive by wire system on the Mini. I'm coming off of Hondas and I know that their drive by wire systems keep the throttle open at 90-94% and many tuners are now putting external voltage amplifying systems on to open the throttle fully. Not sure if its the same with the Mini, I have seen a product called Sprintbooster on here but not sure if the same case with partial open throttle exists on the mini. Any ideas or knowledge on that one?

Just to piggy back on my last post. There is a similar product made by Buddy Club, mostly for hondas but they make an application for the Mini, just need a different wire harness. It's a much better product, though slightly more expensive, it has a 31 point adjustment which is adjustable on the fly as well as modes to choose from. They have an ECON mode that yields better gas mileage as well.
He brings up an interesting point tho, what if the software doesn't allow 100% WOT under certain circumstances?
Are we to assume the software knows best?
How would you know whether you're getting WOT when you want it?
