Trying to order different headrests

Hello all! I am replacing my headrests in my 05 Cabrio and I can’t order my new ones until I know the specs of the old ones…gotta make sure they fit

I have searched & searched to no avail. Whenever I search for “Headrest Strut Specs”, or “Headrest Dimensions”, I get information on shocks & struts. I have tried other variations & I just can’t seem to find what I need. Maybe one of you good people can help me.

Anyway, I needed the specs to the strut width & the space between the struts. Any help would be appreciated.

Specifically I am looking a millimeter measurements, but I can convert the numbers.

I did measure mine, but I don't know whether the width between the struts is measured from the outside, inside, or middle of the struts.
I also don't have flexible measuring tape, so I don't know the dimensions of the strut width.

I hope I am making sense.
Thanks for reading & Happy Motoring!

So I take it you're having full custom ones made, or ???

OK, here's what I measured:
posts 0.42" diameter
4.35" center-to-center

Thanks for your reply.

I am actually replacing the cables in my roof (see thread https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...nt-open-2.html post #39) I already set aside enough money to have it done by the dealer, but since I am doing it myself, I will be saving enough to get dual DVD headrests...and I have permission from my other-half to go ahead with the purchase. *insert happy dance*

Here are your memasurments converted.
posts 0.42" diameter ~ 10.67mm
4.35" center-to-center ~ 110.49mm

I was wanting to buy these

 Headrest Specs: (not complete specs)
- Color: Black
- Material: Faux Leather
- Space Between Struts: 130mm. Adjustable to 180mm.
- Strut Width: 12mm

But it doesn't look good with the measurments provided.

the smallest set that might work is this set

 Material: Faux Leather
 Space Between Struts: 115mm~160mm
 Strut Width: 8mm
 Included Strut Expander to make strut width 12mm

I like the looks of the first set, the layout is cleaner. The second set has a crazy button layout & speaker grills all down the sides & bottom.

In the end, I will end up buying which ever set will fit. I don't think my daughter will care, so long as she gets some entertainment back there.

I'm betting neither will work, based on the specs you listed.

I had the same thought, but couldn't find that thread earlier today...
