I finally started my v-tec swap and have a complete running 998 engine out of my 1989 mini mayfair. It has the 2.9 final drive so it can cruise on the highway great.

The good: lead free head, good carb, pertoronix ignition, new coil, totally complete with all ancillaries

The bad: One cyclinder has no compression. It is either the valves or rings, but not sure which, and I did not take the time to figure it out since I was removing it anyway.

I drove this car everyday and on my way home form work one day it backfired and felt a little funny. When I got home to check it out, I had no compression. Car sat for 2 months and then I tried to see if it would start before I dismantled it. It started right up! I took a video of it if you want to see it run.

Asking $500 for the entire thing. I'm in oregon and can crate it up, but you pay shipping and make all arrangments.
