R50/53 Part # for front bumper attachment?
Part # for front bumper attachment?
Ok long story short, I thought it would be cool to drive through a puddle doing a photoshoot yesterday..which pulled off the wide vertical looking lip that the front bumper uses to mount to the bottom of the radiator frame. I didn't know it at the time, and I realized I messed up when I noticed it.
Basically the bottom of the front bumper snaps into a lip that is recessed a few inches, and that lip mounts to another plastic piece which is screwed up by the bottom of the radiator. I need the piece that mounts to the radiator, so I can mount the lip, and screw the bottom of my bumper back down.
I'm hoping all this makes sense
. The water also broke the plastic shield under the bottom of the engine which I didn't think mattered all that much, but some say it does. Slightly better for aerodynamics and blocks out road crap.
I'm confident that some of you geniuses out there can aid me in finding a diagram or part number of what I need. Unfortunately I will probably have to take it up to the stealership to get the parts, but I'm not about to pay them to fix it.
I learned from my mistake and hopefully won't have to pay too much for it. Steer clear of any puddle you see when driving a MINI.

Thanks for the help but that doesn't look like any of the plastic stuff I've seen under there.
Here's a diagram to help explain:

Piece #1 I have, its the recessed lip back under there. Piece #2 was destroyed when piece #1 ripped off. Piece #3 is the plastic shield thing that tore off. I need #2 and #3.

Try these
. Your #3 is the the one linked above by glnr13, picture is a little goofy.

Awesome thanks! I was trying to browse around but I have never used that site yet. Thanks to both of you.
I am thinking about making an aluminum brace for the center of the bumper, and fixing the sides back to the wheel wells like they were, then just do the DIY hope depot lip and it will be looking fresh as can be.
N.A.M. for the win again..
