Spark plugs

I did a search and I did not find the exact answer.
Running platinum plugs in my SRT-4 is a huge no, no. Even some of the supercharged Mustang people I talked to say running platinum plugs is not wise to do.
So, why is it that when I go to look for stock replacement plugs at auto part stores they say to use platinum plugs? Funny, even the guy at Advanced said the same thing, platinum in a super charged car?

So what's up with the mini that makes it special?

Not sure, could it be cuz the stock plugs use 4 electrodes? I tried various plugs in my '03 S, next to Brisk the stock ones work best, IMHO. Not too modded, 15%, CAI, Detroit Tuned by-pass valve. Perhaps posting here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...lems-issues-9/
will get more answers.
