CVT transmission fluid change

Since those of us with CVT's know we have to change the transmission fluid every 25-30K miles, I thought I'd post an alternative to the $350 price tag the dealers want. Through a little research and asking some pointed questions I found out that AAmco will do this fluid change for around $225.00. They use the correct fluid, they pressure purge the transmission, check the old fluid and replace with new. It took about 30 minutes, and with an appointment, I didn't have to leave the car.

Since CVT's are the primary transmissions on a lot of HyBrids, they have been doing this for awhile. It might be worth checking out. It saved me $125 plus my time.

How did they manage to reset the adaptation values via the ECU?

Adaptation values? Never heard of it. I know all about resetting the ECU, but I've never read that there is any requirement to reset ECU values after a CVT transmission fluid change. What needs to be reset? It's the same fluid.
