The "World of Speed" event will be held on September 16 thru 19, 2009 at the famed Bonneville Salt Flats in Wendover, Utah.(the fastest place on earth)

Last year 22 members and 8 MINIs attended this event and ran on the short course and gained entry in the "130 club". (See article in MC2 issue #18 / page 54)

We're going back this year and would like to have as many MINIs attend or enter this fun event as possible. If we get enough participation individual trophy classes will be established for MINIs only.

We would like to encourage anyone interested in joining us to do so.

In addition to running cars by day we enjoy evening cook-outs, campfires, fireworks displays, campsite breakfasts, and camaraderie of other MINI maniacs for 3 or 4 days at the salt.

Casino / Hotels and motels are close by (3 miles) in Wendover and those with Campers are welcome to settle in at our free camping compound at "Bend-in-the-Road" about 1 1/2 miles from the Salt Flats.

This event is all about fun and an experience you won't forget.
