PSS9 rear rattle (just installed)

So I just replaced my old stock struts and promini springs with PSS9's OMFG! what a change, night and day, WAY BETTER NOW, except:

The rear rattles like crazy on little bumps, I think I missed puting a part in or something becuse damn it rattles sounds like they're loose or something to that extent I know for a fact I have everything tight, I checked 2x. Any ideas would be great.

If it's a clunking sound your springs may not be seated fully. Just something to check out...

How do you determine if the springs are fully seated or not?

yeah take that metal sleeve out. I had the same clunking sound with my megans in the rear I have had the sleeve out since I have figured it out and haven't had a single problem with the rear since. When the rear's are on do they have alot of range of circular motion/free swing? If so that means they aren't tighten down all the way to the point that the bushing is sandwiched between the topnut and washer, oem top hat, and then the pss9 top hat. Then when you mount the top hat back to the body mount it should be a shorter range of circular motion/free swing but at the same time very solid feeling and well assembled.

Wish I could help you but I don't remember how I put mine on. Pretty sure you gotta use the factory top-hat as is (minus a spacer or something that's replaced) but I'm probably just confusing you.

Hey check, I still see some gap up front.

J, how's your car treating you?

Is he talking about bumpstops? I reused the metal plate and rubber piece I think until I went to camber plates...

Mini is good but the BMW is EVEN BETTER...
Not to threadjack the OP but I bought 19" CSL's (E46 offests up front....E92 offsets in the rear stretching 215's...Should be 285's! ), K-Sport coilovers, custom rear bumper lowered 2", M3 mirrors for FREE, Vorsteiner GTS3 lip and M3 bumper. Gonna shave the reflectors and fog light holes. Also, lower the skirts about an inch. Before I paint I am going to get a CSL trunk and ACS roof spoiler. Then I will black out the lights and trim. One thing I might do is powdercoat the wheels black....vinyl the center section of the lip and my roof... And sorry to the OP.....lol

I fixed it, Im dumb, dosent help that I was in a rush fighting sundown. Now the rear is a tad higher than I wanted but I rather have that extra play in the strut than lower it. Now I have to raise the front 1/2" Im only assumg they were made to be able to adjust with weight on them, Just seems to me the nuts are made of a soft metal.

Well then your running my same setup. I have PSS9's with KMAC's. I think we are the only ones with this setup... On my rears Im dropped on rim. The fronts cant go lower but Im about 3/4" from tire. But If I drop it any lower I will be on pavement. The KMAC's are a pretty decent plate. I have had no problems with them. The only thing is with the fronts all the way down AND the plates installed....my springs bind... But whatever....my Mini is a play car...
