Can I use the BMW X5 map DVD in my GPS
Howdy,
I updated my gps in my 2005 mini cooper with the bmw x5 navigation software (V32). It works great ! I bought a copy of the 2007.2 version of the NAVTEQ maps for the BMW X5 GPS (MKI, MKII). But when I replace my 2003 maps dvd with the 2007.2 version I get a message on the screen that says I am using the wrong DVD.
How can I use the 2007.2 DVD ?

Did a quick look on the x5world Nav forum... I believe that 2007 is when BMW started producing the new generation X5, which has the new Nav system (like the Nav in the 2nd gen MINI). So it looks like the Navteq DVD is incompatible with the Nav on your 2005 MINI. Does the disc say "Professional" or "CCC" on the label? If so, then it is definitely incompatible. Your Nav needs a "High" version Navteq disc.
