Hüper Optik ceramic tinting

If you have tinted your MINI with Hüper Optik Ceramic, did you tint just the front door windows or the entire car? Pics and % used?

I have done 2 vettes and the MINI with HO, and think it's the best I've ever used. In VA, I had to have the fronts done at 50% and did the sunroofs, rear, and side windows with 35%. It looks great. If the weather will ever stay good long enough to get it clean and take pics, I'll post. It's ability to block heat was well-tested on a black 07 vette coupe with a black interior.

Where did you get the HO installed?

Has anyone used The Tint Shoppe in Woodbridge VA?

Work was done by Express Tint in Centreville, just off the intersection of 28 and 29. Small shop but they did a great job. I think it was about $350 for everything. I'll try to get some pics in my gallery tomorrow.

Looking forward to the pics; did you consider the Ceramic 20 for the sunroof?

Dont know why people are saying 35% last I checked Huper Ceramic on comes 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60.

I would never use any other tint again this is the second car I've had done and the stuff is just amazing and well worth the price. Made the mistake of going with a cheaper tint on my other car and I hate it in comparison.

OK, I have pics!

Took some yesterday while the car was clean. Poster above is correct; not sure why I thought 35%. I used 40 on the fronts and 50 on the sides, rear, and sunroof. Also just added my Black Jack sunroof graphic yesterday, which is way cool with my color combo. You can also see the drop with the TSW springs, which now have about 1,000 miles on them.

Is it still available in 20, 30, 40, and 50?

Was at a local tinting place in VA and the guy indicated it only comes in 30 or 50.

According to their website they are, I bet its more likely what the tinter stocks, as rolls are so expensive. To make it more confusing the numbers aren't the exact percentage Huper 40 is actually like 38%, and the rest are all a bit different as well.

Its cause once it goes on the car it gets a lil darker from the glass and 20 or 30 would look way better but, I know the law won't let you. Hawaii is 35% all around and its to light for my taste.

No no its the rating, some are lighter, some are darker, some are dead on if you look on the website it gives the actual rating I think the 20 is actually 21.xx% or something, 30 is 30%.

Ah, think 30 should work well on the sides and back.

Saw the numbers for Huper Optik 50 and 60 on their website, but curious how much they actually look different in person? Does 50 provide much different coverage over 60?

I'm not sure, I've had both 30 and 40 and cant see going lighter than 50, I mean 40 is good but light enough that despite NY strict tint laws I was never bothered by the police, although I havent with my MCS and the 30 either hers a comparison of the 40 on my A3 and the 30 on my MCS although it was two different days.

Yea but its not bad because its only enforced by the police, and they never really care unless they were breaking *****. I mean I had a Subaru WRX with 20% and cops said something once, and they still let me go. Now where its really bad is NJ where you wont pass inspection if you have over the legal amount of tint (I think it also might be 70%, or close).

Go to the HO USA site:

http://www.huperoptikusa.com/

They will give the location of the closest lic. installer, I believe you have to fill out an inquiry form or something.
